Greater Ferromet, Wet Beneficiation Plant
Introduction
Sociedade De Fomento Industrial Private Limited commenced operation of beneficiation plant in 1986. The plant is located at Santona village of Sanguem Taluka, South Goa, Goa.
The process involves ore crushing, washing, and screening. Gravity separation (by cyclones), and magnetic separation methods are used to remove the impurities (like clay and silica) and improve its iron content.
